Vintage lot-BP Avis 1968 Europe Map-1970 International Directory and more. Will ship via USPS Media Mail.
This is an awesome vintage Avis travel memorabilia lot! Many items included...very cool to see travel maps/brochures from the past. And a receipt for a car rental in 1970!
First item in the lot is a map of Europe (Europa). This map was put out by BP (British Petroleum) and Avis. This a very large map, but there are some tears on some of the folds, and some discoloration from where they had tried to tape it together. However, large parts are fine and look good. Someone wrote in pencil 1970. The map was published in 1968.
2nd item is the Avis International Directory from July 1970. This lists all of the Avis locations around the world, types of cars available, along with rates. Is in great condition, with no marks or tears.
3rd item is the Avis Air Auto Plan '70. This publication is in connection with Sabena, Belgium World Airlines. It has rates, etc for different car rentals in several European countries. There is also a map of London and a layout of Brussels National Airport.
4th item is an Avis promotional flyer about renting a car in Europe. Is in great condition with no marks or tears.
Last 2 items are 2 envelopes from Avis, to a man living in Kansas City. They have documents and invoices about car reservations and pricing. One of the envelopes is rather interesting, in that it is marked as "Air Mail". Note that the postage was only 11 cents!
This is a wonderful, unique lot of Vintage Avis travel materials and would be great for any travel memorabilia collection!
