Vintage Coca-Cola Metal Cooler 1950's TempRite Mfg. Co. Arkansas City, Kansas

This is an extremely collectible and vintage Coca-Cola Metal Cooler from the 1950's manufactured by TempRite Manufacturing Co., Arkansas City, Kansas. The Coca-Cola emblem in flowing lettering is embossed on each side of the cooler.
Overall it is in very nice condition. It has s few dents (I believe three or four) but this certainly adds character to the piece if you are buying it for display purposes. (Please see pics). These include a dent above the Coca-Cola emblem on one side, a dent on the lid by the handle, and a small dent on one of the silver metal corner pieces. These can be easily taken out by someone who works with metal if that is preferred. I always liked the way it looked so displayed it as is. It not buying it for display it would be a perfect and easy piece for restoration.
These coolers are getting harder and harder to find, especially in the good condition this one is in.. The inside cooler measures 15.25” x 10.25” x 14.50” deep. The outside measurements are approximately 17” x 12” x 17”. The cooler weighs approximately 22 pounds. Needless to say it is very heavy duty.
Colors are still good, and it comes with the original sandwich tray. The cooler also has a bottle opener on the side as well as the drain plug. On the front of the cooler there is a metal tag bearing the serial number D 219. I have tried to research the significance of the serial number and it’s origin but to no avail.
I have been told by other Coca-Cola memorabilia collectors that the coolers made by the TempRite Mfg. Co., are preferable since this company did not manufacture the Coca-Cola coolers for an extended period.
