Vintage Authentic 1960's Hawaiian Grass HULA SKIRT, shells /tassels & HALTER,TOP

Description

Here is an old vintage Hawaiian grass hula skirt adorned with shells and tassels.
The pink halter top is also decorated with shells and tassels.
I believe it to be made in the 1950’s or 60’s
It has been in clean, dry storage for that long, and is in surprisingly good condition.
The grass is kind of wrinkly but should straighten out.
It also sheds some, so I am not sure if one would want to actually wear it for dancing, as it’s rather fragile…although you could definitely do so if,handled carefully.
It might be more of a fashion display or museum piece.
The hand made shell artwork is quite lovely.
Here are approximate measurements…it is somewhat adjustable.
SKIRT:
waist…35” laid out flat, to where  the grass string ties begin at each end. (See picture)
Length….approx 40”
TOP:
Length,…18” from center of back down to bottom (when folded and laid out flat)
Or 16” from shoulder area down to hem
Bust…approx, 36-37”. When on dress form
All quite adjustable.
