Description
Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6") chrome postcard with a view from Killiney Hill of the beautiful stretchtoward Bray Head, south of Dublin, Ireland -- still verdant, still undeveloped, circa 1960s.
Front caption reads,
"Killiney Bay, Bray Head, and the Wicklow Mountains, Ireland."
Back caption reads,
"KILLINEY HILL. Situated between Dalkey and Killiney, the hill
provides some splendid views from the summit, which is laid out as a public park,
and crowned with an obelisk. Southward, from Bray Head the coastline takes
a grand sweep to form Killiney Bay as justly held to rival the Bay of Naples.
Against the horizon stand the purple mass of the Wicklow Mountains. Then,
turning north and east there are unparalleled views of Dublin City and Bay.
Indeed, an outing to Killiney Hill is as popular with local residents as it is with the visitor."
