A pair of swans float past the small chapel.
Front caption reads, "St. Finbar's Church, Gougane Barra, West Cork, Ireland."
Back caption reads, "GOUGANE BARRA: This lake, the source of the River Lee,
is set amid magnificent mountain scenery with brooding cliffs rising above the dark waters.
In the lake is a tiny island connected to the mainland by an artificial causeway.
This island was the site of the hermitage of St. Finbarr, patron saint of Cork. Nothing
now remains of this early building, but there is a relatively modern chapel built about
1900. It is built of local sandstone and has a head of St. Finbarr inset above the richly-carved
doorway."
