  • Condition: For the age of this cooler it looks pretty good. There are some small dings in different areas. The biggest one I see is on the right upper front corner. It is not very big.The owners before us gave it a coat of spray paint on the outside. Which had to be over 30 years ago. It is not a heavy coat of paint. You can see the difference in the color because they did not spray the inside of the lid.This cooler would be a great fixer upper. The inside still looks real good with no rust, The seal looks pretty good also. The bottle cap catcher is missing and it looks like there may have been some kind of trim around the opener and where the bottle cap catcher was.

    I think this cooler is from the 1940's.
    Measurements Overall  27" Wide x 26 1/2" x 35" Tall (Including lid).
    32 1/2" Tall not including lid.
    Inside Stainless Cooler box measures:  22" x 21" x 13" High
    Inside markings
    embossed
    are: CC-11-46
    I am guessing the date 1946?
    Outside back of cooler are markings J1  18  or  Jl  18
    Outside on both sides I see in small print:   REG  U.S    PAT
    Color: Red
    Front and sides read:   Drink Coca Cola. Ice Cold.
    Back Reads: Drink Coca Cola
    Inside lid reads: Have A Coke.
    The lid is held open by a chain hooked on one side.
    The handle and the two hinges are either Chrome or stainless.
