    Offered is the Deluxe Cast Iron Laboratory Support Stand/Base.  This base is for support rods of up to 3/4 inches in diameter. It is clean overall, with only a light haze of rust from poor storage, but no pitting.  The painted surface is a grey wrinkle type finish and it is in good condition.  There are a few paint chips. Two chrome slide clamps remain in place on the bottom-these too show light rust. This base could be used for a microscope or other optical devices requiring a firm support like a flask holder or rod clamp for an overhead lens assembly.  It has a setscrew type adjustment with a nice knurled knob for tightening.  No name or type number to be found.
