Metal sign advertising GREEN’S AUGUST FLOWER FOR LIVER & DYSPEPSIA. The company claimed in early 1900 advertising that “two doses of August Flower will cure dyspepsia, liver complaints, headache, heartburn, and more.” I included a photo of an advertisement for Green’s August Flower that I found from 1918 newspaper. It’s a laxative cure all. Another advertising claimed “A large proportion of the American people are to-day dying from the effects of Dyspepsia." Try Green's August Flower. "Speedy relief is certain. Millions of bottles ... have been given away to try its virtue, with satisfactory results." Sample bottle is 10 cents. For sale by W.H. Ferris, General Store, Paris, N.Y.”
